Concentration Camps
Auschwitz, Birkenau, Treblinka and Theresienstadt (Terezin): Images from German concentration camps located in Poland and the Czech Republic during World War II. The structures in Treblinka were torn down during World War II. A monument was subsequently built to memorialize those who died in the camp. The individual stones with engraved names are the towns and villages from which individuals were forcibly removed...to be condemned to death. Terezin, the last pictured site, is located in the Czech Republic
The photos include: a Holocaust Memorial in Warsaw and two buildings, including a courtroom in Nuremberg. Nuremberg was the site of Nazi rallies and the Nuremberg trials, the latter of which were held after World War II.
